GMYC is looking for our next Artistic Director.
Grand Monadnock Youth Choirs (GMYC) is the performance-based choral music education program for young singers in our community. Founded in 1997, GMYC serves more than 100 singers per year in ensembles rehearsing in Keene and Peterborough, NH. Singers come from 20 different towns throughout the Monadnock Region. GMYC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) arts organization.

Grand Monadnock Youth Choir’s Artistic Director (AD) is an energetic, committed, organized, and charismatic individual who is responsible for planning and conducting/overseeing multiple choral music education programs with singers in grades 5-12. The AD crafts age-appropriate concerts that are engaging to singers and audiences. This person works to deliver exceptional performance-based choral music education to young singers in the Monadnock Region.
The AD selects and teaches relevant and diverse repertoire suitable for children’s voices and appropriate in the choral setting. Working with the Administrative Coordinator, pianists, Board of Directors, and volunteers, the Artistic Director plans and conducts concerts and outreach performances in various venues including stand-alone concerts, collaborative events, and regional and international trips. This individual creates and maintains working relationships with the GMYC community and the community at large.
The Artistic Director has a passion for the role of music in children’s lives, and works creatively to enhance musical experiences for youth in the Monadnock Region.
